Four north Scotland councils are coming together to share information during September to help the public consider how to respond to a local challenge or emergency. ![]()
The Get Set September project is being led by Aberdeen City Council Aberdeenshire Council The Highland Council and Moray Council to reach as many people as possible across the area. ![]()
Over the course of the month, information and advice will be shared around the themes of personal resilience, cyber security, flooding and winter weather.![]()
By taking simple steps to prepare for a potential crisis, residents can be in the best position to react while the council, emergency services and partners tackle it directly. ![]()
The first theme, personal resilience, will encourage people to consider their own preparations, such as knowing where the stopcock is during a leak, or having a torch and batteries ready should the power go out. ![]()
For those unsure where to start, or wanting to check everything is in hand, check out our online resources at publications.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/winter-weather-advice ![]()
